I started out as a photographer. Then I moved into the edit, then color, then directing — and somewhere along the way, CGI. I've stopped shooting. Now I direct, edit, grade and build in CGI.
I know what people say: jack of all trades, master of none. I don't think that holds anymore. The tools have gotten smart, and if you use every minute well, you can get really good at more than one thing. It's not a one-man show. It's just the hours.
